Our Team
The Fire Department is comprised of 91 dedicated members who work together to ensure the safety and well-being of our community. Our team is structured into three main divisions: Administration, Fire Division, and EMS Division.


Leadership

  • Fire Chief – Leads the entire department with strategic vision and leadership.
  • Deputy Chief – Assists in overall management and operational oversight.

Operational Staff

The Operational Staff supports the day-to-day functions and includes:

  • Administrative Division – Handles the administrative and logistical needs of the department.
  • Fire Captains:
    • Training Officer – Ensures all personnel are well-trained and prepared.
    • Fire Marshal – Responsible for fire prevention and safety inspections.
    • Maintenance Supervisor – Manages the upkeep and readiness of all equipment and facilities.

Fire Division

The Fire Division consists of three shifts to provide round-the-clock protection. Each shift includes:

  • 1 Battalion Chief (BC) – Shift Commander overseeing all operations.
  • 6 Lieutenants (LTs) – Lead smaller teams and ensure strategic execution.
  • 8 Driver Operators (DOs) – Responsible for driving and operating fire apparatus.
  • 8 Firefighters (FFs) – Frontline responders trained in fire suppression and rescue.

Total Fire Personnel per Shift: 23

  • Shifts: A, B, and C

EMS Division

The EMS Division provides emergency medical services and operates across three shifts. Each shift includes:

  • 1 EMS Battalion Chief (BC) – Oversees all EMS operations.
  • 1 EMS Lieutenant – Supervises EMS teams and coordinates medical response.
  • 3 EMS Specialists – Provide advanced medical care during emergencies.

Additional Support:

  • EMS Casual Employees – Utilized as needed for shift coverage and interfacility transfers.

Our Mission

To provide a range of services designed to protect the lives and property of the citizens of the City of Clovis and Curry County from adverse effect of fires, sudden medical emergency, or exposure to dangerous conditions created by either man or nature.
